Established in 1929 as a manufacturer of fixing tools, bench
vises and other products, Somar S.A. Indústrias Mecânicas
facilities are located at the Industrial District of Joinville, Santa
Catarina, Brazil.
For 79 years, the company managed to evolve to a wider range
of products including equipments, tools, machines, pumps and
electric water pumps and high pressure water jets for most
applications in workshops, sawmills, construction sites,
industries, homes, craftsmen, farms and rural areas, buildings,
public works, irrigation, gas stations, garages and several other
applications.
Always based on technology and quality, Somar products are
found in more than 4,500 points of sales throughout Brazil and
exported to many countries. To ensure high quality level and
provide an on-going and efficient after-sales network, the
company relies on 55 dealers and 290 authorized agents in all
regions, which are always at the customers' and users of the
products.

Somar at Itaipú
Tested in its laboratory located at
its plant in the city of Joinville, SC, and approved
by the engineering department of the Power Station,
Somar has supplied 51 multi-phase electric pumps through
its representative in Curitiba, PR. Those motorpumps
will be used to convey water at great distances in the
Binational Itaipú complex in Foz do Iguaçu,
PR. |
